*I am currently working with a leading shoe manufacturer based in Chatsworth, Durban, who is seeking to recruit a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Buyer to join their team. As a key member of their procurement department, the successful candidate will play a critical role in sourcing high-quality materials and products at competitive prices, ensuring timely deliveries to meet customer demands.

*Job Summary:

*We are looking for a detail-oriented Junior Buyer with a minimum of 2 years of experience in procurement or a related field. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the procurement process, collaborating with various departments, and ensuring that inventory needs are accurately forecasted to meet customer requirements.

*Key Responsibilities:*

- Source and procure high-quality materials and products at competitive prices, ensuring timely deliveries to meet customer demands

- Collaborate with Design, Sales, Stores, Factory Management, and Finance departments to ensure alignment and effective communication

- Participate in sales and customer planning to accurately forecast inventory needs and optimize stock levels

- Analyze market trends, supplier performance, and product quality to inform procurement decisions

- Negotiate with suppliers to achieve best prices, quality, and delivery terms

- Manage and maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including supplier performance and product quality

*Requirements:*

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in procurement or a related field- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Excellent communication and negotiation skills

- Ability to work collaboratively with various departments and stakeholders

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
