EMBURY Durban Campus has an available position for a lecturer: teaching practice reporting directly to the HEAD.
Job requirements:
- Relevant lecturing and management experience.
- Experience in the ECD/Foundation Phase and/or Intermediate Phase classroom.
- Experience in mentoring student teachers would be advantage.
- An understanding of the CAPS documents.
- Experience in conveying skills associated in classroom practice and lesson preparation and delivery.
- Experience in Curriculum Development.
- Minimum Honours in Bachelor of Education or equivalent degree.
- A recognised 4 year Teaching Degree Qualification.
- Experience in Tertiary Education an advantage.
- Lecturing experience in the fields of ECD, Foundation and/or Intermediate Phase a requirement.
- Computer Literate.
- Ability to work under pressure, independently and as part of a team.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven track record of excellent time management and administrative skills.
- Must be able to cope with change.
