DEPUTY LOGISTICS MANAGER REQUIRED

RESPONSIBILITIES: You will be responsible for:

BOND STORE

Ensure all Bar Packing specifications are followed, and all bar sheets are recorded accurately and kept for 12 months.
Ensure that all shipments received is checked in and reported on the relevant systems
Work closely with clearing agents to ensure effective running of the Bond Store
Ensure that all administrative work is completed accurately and filed for audit purposes.
Ensure that the Bond Store is always audit ready
Ensure that the Bond Store is SARS Customs ready and SARS compliant at all time

EQUIPMENT

Ensure that the daily Box times are met as per the required box times.
Ensure that the relevant Linen is available at all times before truck departure, if it is not delivered by the Laundry company, you are required to call and enquire to ensure that there is no delay encountered
Ensure that all equipment is packed as per GLPs including dead heads
Ensure that all equipment packed is clean and free from chips or being broken
Responsible for the movement of all airline equipment to correct allocations and stored in the designated areas as per the department specification.
Ensure that equipment carts is packed according to clients Equipment loading plan (ELP) and issued to subordinates daily.
Ensure that the correct GLPs are placed securely on the carts.
Check and sign the GLPs.
Take pictures of the GLPs for record purposes.
Ensure the equipment breakages are recorded and reported to the manager.
Ensure that equal exchange of equipment is followed & that excess equipment is returned back to customer with prior notification and documented for stock reports and ensure that clients are notified when stock levels are low.
Ensure that clients are notified when stock levels are low and shortages are recorded for future complaints.
Ensure that the kitting processs are followed.
Ensure that all equipment are covered with plastic in their respective cages.

DISHROOM

Ensure that all documentation is completed, this includes CCP, breakage, temperature controls, incoming counts, stock requisition, chemical issues etc.
No local substitutions must be made unless written instruction has been given to you by a manager to do so.
Ensure that the department is managed and controlled efficiently in line with the companys requirements.
Ensure FIFO of trolleys
Ensure that all clean equipment is available timeously for packing in equipment and production area.

GENERAL

Effective handling of client objections and complaints

Ensure the accurate capturing of stock figures and any other delivery notes and information
Ensure that flight configurations are received from dispatch
Ensure that stock takes are carried out according to date specified as well as according to internal specifications.
Ensure compliance with service level agreements
Investigate customer quality issues, develop and implement corrective actions
Determine par levels and order quantities based on customer specifications, menus and vendor lead time to minimize inventory warehousing
Ensure that the rosters are done accurately and timeously.
Ensure that a effective Leave Plan is in place for managing the departments leave
Ensure that Newrest South Africa is compliant with the Newrest Group Procedures(NGP).
Any other reasonable task that may be required by Top Management
