Duties & Responsibilities
Installations
- Prepare computers and screens for installers.
- Set up system networking equipment and peripheral devices.
- Conduct Sensmi installations and on-site quality assurance (QA).
- Update screen and computer software as needed.
- Maintain and support new installation hardware
- Provide remote and telephone support to on-site technicians for software application issues.
- Conduct high-level troubleshooting on systems, technology, and topology.
- Support and troubleshoot Sensmi-related installations.
- Enhance OS and hardware development.
- Train other technical staff on newly developed methods.
- Understand installation requirements and assist installers as needed.
- Support the Technical Manager in the planning, execution, and deployment of new infrastructure projects.
- Contribute to the effective maintenance, support, and troubleshooting of the organisational IT environment.
- Execute and validate bi-weekly backup operations for core file systems, utilising both hot and cold storage methodologies to ensure data integrity and business continuity.
- Provide essential operational support for the existing IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of installed systems and undergo periodic technical assessments.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation at installation sites during and after completion.
- Ensure stock availability for installers in accordance with Moving Tactics stock procedures.
- Provide constructive feedback to improve installation processes.
- Support other departments where needed.
- Assist the Technical Department in equipment preparation.
- Help maintain a neat and organised office environment.
- Conduct in-house training (CPT) on product lines.
- Assist the Maintenance Department with current and new product lines.
- Maintain professionalism in all interactions.
- Communicate clearly with clients and colleagues.
- Present a professional appearance when representing Moving Tactics.
- Consistently adhere to company processes and procedures.
- Prioritise safety by wearing required PPE and following safety protocols.
- Be available for after-hours and weekend installations/work as/if required.
- Maintain punctuality at all times.
- Reporting to Line manager
Desired Experience & Qualifications
- CompTIA A+: Preferred
- CompTIA N+: Preferred
- Valid Drivers License
- Other: Certifications in Microsoft Desktop Support (MCA) or basic Cloud fundamentals (Preferred).
- 12 Years of Practical Experience: Specifically in a technical support, desktop support, or field technician role.
- Hardware Handling: Proven experience in assembling, configuring, and troubleshooting PCs, screens, and peripheral devices.
- Network Setup: Basic experience setting up routers, switches, and cabling.
