To provide clinical support to clinical research activities following study protocol and standard operating procedures.

The following are the qualifications, experience, knowledge and attributes requirements:
Education, Training and Experience
- MBChB degree
- HPCSA and MPS registration
- Valid driver’s license
- Computer literate
- Good writing skills
- 2-3 years working experience in a research environment.
- Dispensing License.
- Interest in Reproductive health in particular family planning.
- Understanding of research principles and techniques
- Valid GCP and Ethics training
- Able to maintain confidentiality, tact and professionalism at all times.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills and ability to liaise with external stakeholders
Key performance areas
- Screen and enrol participants in accordance with GCP, study protocol and ethical guidelines.
- Manage and report any adverse events according to GCP, ethics and protocol guidelines and requirements
- Complete clinical trial administration related to the medical officer function.
- Ensure quality control and quality assurance of all study information.
- Develop and review clinical SOPs as required
- Assist in training of site staff on relevant clinical topics/areas
- Work together with the study team in order to optimize research management strategies.
- Participate in training, seminars, meetings and conference calls.
- Perform physical examinations and assessments.
- Perform IUD and implant insertions.
