A Chinese company expanding operations into South Africa is urgently looking for an experienced and reliable person to fill the position of Retail Property Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities: • Build relationships with property owners • Negotiate new leases & lease renewals at most advantageous rates; • Present & motivate space opportunities • Retailer property strategies & expansion including sourcing of suitable premises, negotiating & conclusion of lease agreements • Retail property management consulting to landlords • Retail layout, design & tenant mix consulting: new retail developments • Tenant mix strategies for existing & new shopping centres • Co-ordinate the detailed costing’s and budgets/tenders/contractors appointments/project plan and completion of retail projects
Qualifications: • Diploma degree or above • Major: Marketing or Project Management Skills: • Minimum 5 years’ experience in retail industry as a store development or business development position • Have existing contacts with shopping malls • Proven leadership • Understanding of legislation and regulation • Willingness to travel extensively • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously • Budgeting and Project estimation skills • Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Outlook • Valid Driver’s License and own vehicle
