A vacancy exists for a Repair Technician. The successful incumbent needs to specialize in the repair of Smartphones, Tablets and Laptops/Desktops in the Retail environment. Must be open to working retail hours, weekends and Public Holidays.
Requirements for this job position:
- Matric
- Criminal Clear
- Minimum of 2 years assembling, disassembling, testing trouble shooting, and repairing experience with contactable references
- A vast knowledge of cellphones, both old and new models
- Computer literate
- Experience in performing repairs on mobile devices
- Has the ability to carry out level 1,Level 2 and Level 3 repair issues
- Proficient in the use of GSM equipment for mobile devices and ESD Equipment
- Carry out fault diagnosis on devices
- Quality assurance of repairs carried out
- Provide input into weekly and monthly reporting on fault diagnosis and repairs done
- Research new diagnostic and repair methods on new product releases within and not exclusive to apple and Samsung
- Maintain neatness and tidiness of facilities at all times
- Understand repairing process including monitoring of inventory levels required for specific repairs
