Somerset West, Western Cape: TRUST ADVISOR
Minimum Requirements:
-Young, well presentable and professional individual
-Fully bilingual in both Afrikaans and English a must (Afr & Eng client base / Full proficiency in both)
-Legal Degree obtained a must (LLB / B.Com law etc.)
-Admitted as an Attorney advantageous / preferred
-Recent experience in Trusts preferred, or willing to learn
-Computer literate in MS Office
-Excellent communication- and client relations skills
-Valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle
-Willing to commit to long term employment with company
-Residing in / near Somerset West a must (Within daily commuting distance)
-Stable employment record and contactable references a must
-To start as soon as possible
Duties:
-Full Trust Advisory duties for leading fiduciary firm
-Act as company representative in capacity of Independent Trustee on clients’ trusts (At least 100 clients appointed by company)
-Check drafts of new trusts to ensure correctness
-Draft amendments of existing trusts, review and give opinions of existing trusts
-Draft Wills and resolutions
-Review and co-sign Trusts’ AFS when acting as Independent Trustee
-Advise company on all matters pertaining to trusts
-Conduct Annual General Trustee Meetings
-Action various ad hoc email requests from clients
-Attend Wealth Masters seminars on request (attendance fees paid by Company)
-Attend to phone calls from clients and 3rd parties dealing with Trusts and give general trust advice to clients
-Research and keep up to date on all laws and directives pertaining to trusts.
-Attend all FISA regional meeting once enrolled and accepted as a member of the said professional society.
Salary: R 25 000.00 gross basic + commission
