The following full-time SGB teaching positions are available with effect from 15 January 2018 at the Scottburgh High School.
Post No. 1 English Home Language (Grades 8-12) Candidates must be fully involved in all cultural activities (public speaking, debates etc.)
Post No. 2 Mathematics (Grades 8-12)
Post No. 3 Lab and teacher assistant (Grades 8-12)
Job requirements:
- Candidate must be able to assist with the setting up of practical work in Physical and Life Sciences.
- The candidate must have done Physical Science and Life Sciences to Matric.
- The preferred candidate should also be studying towards a teacher's qualification in a Science field.
- The candidate will assist with relief teaching, and must be able to contribute to the extra-curricular programme of the school.
- Ability to assist with the teaching of Physical Education will be an advantage.
Pre-requisites for posts 1 and 2 include:
- Ability to contribute to the extra- curricular programme of the school.
- Passion for the profession and subject.
- Relevant University degree or any other recognised teacher qualification, SACE registration, teaching qualifications and appropriate experience.
