Summary
As a Scriptwriter you will be directly involved in the day-to- day operations of the Production department. The main function of this role is to write, and assist Senior Scriptwriters and Team Leads where necessary, in the production of written scripts and supplementary content required in the creation of specific projects. As a Scriptwriter, you will also be involved in the production of certain projects, and your role on set will be to assist the Senior Scriptwriter or Team Lead where needed. The role involves filming in local and international locations. Applicants must be willing and able to travel.
Key Responsibilities
- To make a dynamic contribution to creative visualisation processes in the development of Lobster Ink video courses, and related content required from the Scriptwriting department
- To produce content that includes but is not limited to voiceover scripts, synopses, manuals and collateral. This content will be concise, accurate, dynamic, and consistent
- To produce content that shows applied understanding of both the “Lobster way”, and the specific client’s brand and requirements, and to take guidance from Senior Scriptwriters and Team Leads in this respect
- To proofread all written content and related documentation
- To work with Senior Scriptwriters, Team Leads, Script Manager, Course Architects, and other project participants to ensure all written work matches the outcomes defined during the visualisation process, that it meets the client’s requirements, and is of Lobster Ink standard
- To keep updated on rules and changes in the Lobster Ink Writing Style Guide and various client-specific style guides, and to make reasonable contributions to these style guides when required
- To participate in, and contribute to, department training and workshop sessions when required
- To assist with website configuration as needed
Basic Requirements
- Degree/Diploma, preferably in English, creative writing or similar fields
- Experience in producing written work; copywriting, scriptwriting, and writing for learning or training would be highly advantageous
